Mathematics Memory Game *Paper strips with the numbers 0-10 need to be created ahead of time.
Begin this activity by arranging small objects suitable for counting on the work place. Invite the child to play the game. Allow the child to select a number strip. The child then must select the number of objects that matches their number strip. The child continues selecting a strip and selecting objects from the pile. You should check to see if the child is matching the appropriate amount for each number strip as the game continues. The game ends when all of the strips have been used.
The goal of this activity is to help the child to associate quantities, learn the symbols for the numbers 0-10, to reinforce the idea that a number may represent a set of objects, and memory training.
