Color Tablets Begin with two red, two blue, and two yellow tablets. Carry the box to the work area and take out the tablets you want to work with. Hold each tile by the wooden edges and point out the contrasts. Place one of the tablets in front of the child and ask them to find the matching tile. Repeat with the rest of the of the tablets. Place the tablets back in the box and return to the shelf. After working on this project a few times, you can begin to introduce the names of the colors. The goal of this activity is to train color discrimination, learn similarities, learn contrasts, become aware of color in the environment, and learning to observe.
